No movement yet!

I am 16 weeks and have not felt any movement yet. None. Everytime I thought I felt something I was half asleep. You cannot trust that. I tried wiggling little Corbin around. Nothing. I know he is in there!! I just cannot wait to feel him. I guess I might have to wait a couple of weeks. Oh well> I will probably have my cradle before I can feel him though!

16 weeks tomorrow!!!

So tomorrow I am 16 weeks. I already have the baby's bedding. Randy is working on the cradle he is probably 1/4 of the way done. He is then going to start on the crib. I decided to go with the solar system theme. The girls can make Rockets Pictures to match the bedding. Then they can make a solar system mobile. I have some idea on how they can do that. So much to do! I cannot wait!

My baby
Your Baby
Your baby is already mugging for the camera as she practices all sorts of facial expressions, such as squinting, yawning and grimacing, which will come in handy when you introduce her to pureed spinach. Check out what else is happening in utero:

You're just getting comfortable with being a new mom, but you're actually on the road to being a grandma. If your baby is a girl, her uterus is fully developed and the ovaries already hold primitive egg cells. Did that just make you feel a thousand years old, or what?

Your baby's skin is still translucent and wrinkly, not unlike an old man's, but more fat will soon accumulate under the dermas to plump her out. If you could peer inside right now, you'd be able to see all of her veins under her skin. And speaking of veins, your baby's heart now pumps about 25 quarts of blood per day, and she hasn't even seen Orlando Bloom yet! Also, her eyes are now locked and loaded at their final destination, facing forward rather than to the sides. (Whew!)

This is the week women get an amniocentesis, if their doc recommends it. In addition to supplying doctors with a boatload of info about the baby's health, amnios are also more than 99 percent accurate in determining what version of baby you'll be having. So if you want to know and you're getting an amnio, now's a great time to find out for sure.

Your baby weighs about 3 ounces this week and measures between 4 and 5 inches, about the length of your mascara.

I did it! Proud of myself!

I bought baby boy stuff!!! I was debating so hard on doing it or not because I am still in shock. Yes I am afraid to buy boy stuff. My husband has been making fun of me. So I said screw it I got some Christmas money from my dad so I am going to spend it! I bought my bedding set. I am so excited to receive it. Of course after I made the purchase I looked at the dvd to be sure again. Yes I am pregnant with a boy. I think I will be in shock and disbelief til he is here.

Careful planning gets you this!!!! I am having a boy!!!

After careful planning we found out yesterday that we are having a boy! I am not sure if you remember how we tried a method called the Shettles method, well it worked! Yesterday I was amazed at how he showed me very early on in the ultrasound. I was too afraid to say it out loud and my tech was too. Then by the middle she said she is 100% sure it is a boy! I was overjoyed. I cried. I keep going back to make sure it is true. All times I looked his penis was still there so yesterday did happen. We are so excited. We are so complete. I look at my family and I think we are complete. We have two girls and one boy. That is all we need. I cannot go through another HG pregnancy. I am very thankful for what I have and I am not going to put my family in debt to have my dream four. Sometimes you have to know when enough it enough. I think we know that now. Glad we gave this one last try. I cannot wait to meet my Corbin.

My ob appointment and excited for tomorrow!

Today I had an appointment. Everything was fine. They checked the baby and it was more than fine. I see her back in two weeks. Still considered high risk. Funny thing at my appointment. I told her about my ultrasound and she did not look amused. She gave me a look like when my mil and me talked about the zofran pump. I hate people that are not open minded. I swear it is like a curse around here. So I want to know the sex. I am going to find out and that is final! She is just mad because I am not using her clinic to find it out. I think I owe them enough money lol.

After my appointment I ran by my employers office to give them my back to work slip. Well I guess they don't want to put me back on the schedule because I will go on maternity leave in six months. I have no idea what is going to come of that situation. I know I am not giving up my job without a fight. I have been there for over four years. I deserve some respect and sonority. Nothing I can do about that situation now. I guess see what happens. I do not think they have a leg to stand on though. I told them I was planning on getting pregnant. They know I have a condition while being pregnant because I have worked for them before and been pregnant. I also let them know I was getting bad before it happened. I tried to give notice. Not my fault if they did not get someone lined up. Not my fault if they did not let the person know it was temporary. I think I am protected under the civil rights commission laws. So we will see what happens.

On a more happy note, tomorrow is my ultrasound. I am super excited but nervous at the same time. I want to find out so bad what I am having. I am not going to let today's events stop me from having a great day and being super excited.

Tonight me and the girls are going to finish up some of the cookie making. We are going to make sugar cookies and no bakes. Tomorrow we are going to make m and m cookies and snikerdoodles. So excited for the rest of the week. I am not going to let things bring me down.

15 weeks........

Lol

My baby is the size of a orange. I am looking a little more pregnant in my lower belly. I am feeling better. The sound of veggies with dressing sound so good right now. I ate a whole bag a carrots yesterday. I have a feeling there is some broccoli I can try. So EXCITED to find out the gender on Thursday. I can hardly get it off my mind. I guess the moment of truth has me nervous. I will love the baby either way but I really want a boy. I am so afraid of my reaction if it is not. I mean we did a method that has been around forever and is 85% effective. I really hope this is it for us. I want to go back to school and focus on raising all the kids I will ever have. I really want that rocket set!!! But if not I am sure I will like something else and start to decorate for a girl too. I just really have a small feeling it might be a boy. I am even afraid to say it outloud because I am afraid I am wrong.

Everything is starting to come together and I am only 14 weeks and five days

Ok so I was upset yesterday. I got my blanket in the mail and I really need to learn how to read. It was more like a damn security blanket than a full size baby blanket. I was so mad. Well after about an hour of looking online I finally found what I was looking for. So I ordered it. Randy got the wood yesterday. I was very happy to see how beautiful the wood was. He is so excited to get started on it. I picked out my cradle colors., brown and green. I wanted to go unisex so I can get things bought. I am still looking at what travel system I want. I hate everything they have at our walmart store. Online seems like the only way. I guess I could start putting money back for what I want. Keep in mind the above pictures of furniture will all match in color and wood. They will be maple and have a pecan finish. I will post pictures of them when I get them done. I am super excited! I just have to settle on which travel system and swing I want. That is going to be so hard! I think Randy and I will decide together because I know I cannot decide on my own! I want something green but something the baby will be comptble in. I want a Granco that is for sure or even flow. Then I have to pick a swing. Ugh so much to pick! So many good products out there.

Day one coming off the pump.

So far so good. Feeling a bit nauseated. Nothing I can't deal with though.Nurse called checked up on me. I have been eating regular food. I was a little nervous yesterday. I took some meds because I was scared it would all start over again. Then I went to Tina's program drugged up and very tired. I cried like a baby during her play. This baby has made me very emotional for some reason. I hope it is a good sign I am having a boy. I told the baby the other night" You are a boy!" It better be lol! Just kidding. I will be happy with either but i am wishing for a boy this time. We did everything right so we will see. I have not felt the baby move yet I am hoping soon I do. I will be 15 weeks soon and I should start to feel little flutters.I am hoping my blanket comes today because soon I will have a cradle! So excited!

14 weeks....... Getting closer

According to my doctor I am 14 weeks today. According to when we conceived I am 14 weeks tomorrow. How am I feeling? Well if I keep my sugar up and eat often I am doing great. I am starting to stock up on diapers and wipes. We also are about ready to buy the wood for the cradle. I bought the cradle fitted sheet and a lime and brown blanket. I also got my nursing pillow in the mail. Then I got so excited I got out the sander and stared on that old rocking chair. I want it restrained and ready to go by February. It is alot of hard work sanding and restraining. Who knows how long it is going to take me. But I have to have a goal in mind. Late January I should find out what I am having. I am so excited it is about a month away!

Old Wives Tales

So for fun I decided to test some of these out.

Chinese Gender Calender- I did this and based on my age and month of conception I am predicted a Boy

http://www.thelaboroflove.com/chart/cal.html

babyman.net- This site bases off the month of conception and my age on the due date. It predicted a Girl!

http://www.babyman.net/

Red Cabbage Test- Save your first morning urine. You cut up a half of head of red cabbage. Thin pieces work best they say. You boil a pan of water. Then you take the water off the head. You add the cabbage. Let sit for ten minutes. Take one part cabbage water and one part urine and mix. If the the water turns red or pink you are having a boy. If your water turns purple you are having a girl. Mine turned red. So boy again!

November........ long month but I somehow got through it.

After Thanksgiving I had to once again get rehydrate at the infusion clinic. I was about 10 weeks. I am doing better now and since I was rehydrate I have been slowly able to eat food. Matter of fact I started buying things for the baby! Randy is getting ready to make the cradle and we are starting to have the energy to get excited! I am eating normal for the most part. Glad to have some food!! Tomorrow we are going to start weaning me off the zofran pump which I have been on for over a month now. They are going to lower my dose and see how it goes. I cannot wait to get life back to normal. I miss my job. I miss making money. HG has not been easy I have lost 26 pounds but have gained back 10! I am glad to be getting myself back again. In a month I will know what the baby is! I really hope it is a boy!! But no matter what I will love it! I am 13 weeks 5 days and feeling much better. Looking forward to the rest of my pregnancy!

It's been awhile! Update on me!

everything started out great, very little nausea and meds were working great. The Saturday before Halloween all hell broke loose. Meds started to fail and here I am vomiting 15 times day day. I could not keep anything down. Sunday I go to Er because I was so weak I could not even give myself a shower. Well Er did not want to do anything for me but rehydrate me. The nurse was a major you know what. She hurried me out of there as fast as she could. She even ran my iv at a very fast rate. She did not even check to see if I could keep anything down after I was given zofran. I knew then that I was doomed..

Monday I call my obgyn. They gave me an appointment for Wednesday and of course try to shove more pills down my throat. That day I threw up nothing but stomach bile. So painful.

Tuesday nothing changed I threw up over 14 times not to mention dry heaved for hours. I could not sip, I could not even swallow my own spit. I remember begging my husband to kill me. ( I know I should not have said that) I was in so much pain from the vomiting and so weak. I was dizzy and felt like I was going to pass out with every vomit.

Wednesday came. Oh Wednesday the day I had been waiting for. I went to the doctors finally. Well my doctor really disappointed me. She just wanted to rehydrate me then send me home. I was told to start taking my medication correctly. I could not hold anything down, how could I take medication? I tried to explain that to her. Keep in mind I was very weak and barely could walk from being so dehydrated. My mother in law mentioned a zofran pump. My doctor acted like she did not want to hear anything about it. Well for some reason they left the room. I guess my mil kept pushing for something other than hydration. Finally my doctor agreed. They sent me down to the infusion clinic to be once again re hydrated. Took five hours to rehydrate me. Took three bags of fluid. They people in the infusion clinic were so friendly and made me feel so much better. Much better than er or even being admitted.

All of my dehydration made me loose 17 pounds in a very short time.

My MIL meanwhile got my home heath set up. Home health came out to the clinic and connected me to a zofran pump. They were very helpful and taught me how to do it myself. Finally!!! Relief!

I have now been on the pump for three days and I have only been vomiting about five times a day versus 14 or 15. If I need more meds the nurse is available by phone 24/7 she will walk me through a higher dose of meds. I can actually nibble now. I have been keeping food down!!! Where was this option when I was pregnant before? I could have avoided so many hospital visits and so many ivs. I just cry now thinking about how I can eat. I know might sound silly to those who have never had hg but seriously it means the world to me.

Most people that do not know me might think I am exaggerating. I would not be hooked up to a pump if I was not seriously ill. I would not have a nurse monitoring my weight and intake. Do you really think my insurance would pay for something not necessary? I think not.People at work think I am making the whole thing up. Well screw them. They have no idea.

What is a zofran pump? Well it is a pump that pumps constant medication through a tube that is inserted in my belly. I have to change the site every 36 hours and add more medication every 18.

Oh and I almost forgot the day after I got my pump I had my first ultrasound. Everything is looking great and of course I was right on the age. Eight weeks. This makes my hell worth it in the end.

6 weeks pregnant!

My baby is the size of a sweet pea. Your baby is starting to look more and more like a little organic being during pregnancy week 6. Dark spots should be forming where your baby's eyes and nostrils will eventually take shape. There should also be small pits on the sides of the head where the ears will develop, and tiny buds that will eventually form into the arms and legs. For several weeks your baby's hands and feet will be connected by a layer of webbing between the fingers and toes. Your baby will start responding to sensory input and start moving on his own in the next few weeks.

At 6 weeks of pregnancy, your baby's heart should now be beating at about 100 to 140 beats per minute and blood will start circulating throughout your baby's body. Your health care practitioner may be able to see the beating of the heartbeat using ultrasound, though it may still be a few weeks before the heartbeat is detectable via a Doppler device.

Did you know that your baby would actually be able to display reflexes in response to touch even at 6 weeks? This is because the central nervous system is already developing and linking the muscles in the body with the limbs. You'll learn even more amazing facts as you follow your pregnancy week by week.

How am I feeling? Well I am getting nausea but no morning sickness so far. Good sign? I hope. I would love to take the extra money and buy a new car that is bigger for my family. So maybe I am having a boy? I hope so. First appointment tomorrow. Yippee. I will update then.

Five weeks!

How your baby's growing:
Deep in your uterus your embryo is growing at a furious pace. At this point, he's about the size of a sesame seed, and he looks more like a tiny tadpole than a human. He's now made up of three layers — the ectoderm, the mesoderm, and the endoderm — which will later form all of his organs and tissues.

The neural tube — from which your baby's brain, spinal cord, nerves, and backbone will sprout — is starting to develop in the top layer, called the ectoderm. This layer will also give rise to his skin, hair, nails, mammary and sweat glands, and tooth enamel.

His heart and circulatory system begin to form in the middle layer, or mesoderm. (This week, in fact, his tiny heart begins to divide into chambers and beat and pump blood.) The mesoderm will also form your baby's muscles, cartilage, bone, and subcutaneous (under skin) tissue.

The third layer, or endoderm, will house his lungs, intestines, and rudimentary urinary system, as well as his thyroid, liver, and pancreas. In the meantime, the primitive placenta and umbilical cord, which deliver nourishment and oxygen to your baby, are already on the job.

How am I feeling? Tired, sore, and a little nauseated. But the nausea has not even started yet. Next week is the week I am going to worry. Next week on Tuesday I am gong to make my first appointment I am super excited. Very Very tired though> I have been sleeping like crazy. Which makes my sex life non existing. Hopefully the sleepiness goeas away soon. Five weeks cannot believe it.

Crying like a big baby!

This last week I have been crying about goofy things. Like I cried over a coffee commercial and the song "Hang on Sloppy". About anything can bring me to tears these days. I am very happy though and very excited about having another child.

Thursday, October 7, 2010

Finally postive bright test!

Very Happy about this! Took this in the middle of the day. Hell I take one everyday since I have 20 left just to see the lines!

My little poppy seed! 3 weeks 3 days

My baby is about the size of a poppy seed. The egg has just made it's way to my uterus that is why I can have a positive pregnancy test this early. There are cells multiplying and the egg has burrowed it's way into my uterus. amniotic fluid is beginning to collect around your ball of cells in the cavity that will become the amniotic sac. This fluid will cushion your baby in the weeks and months ahead. Right now, your little blastocyst is receiving oxygen and nutrients (and discarding waste products) through a primitive circulation system made up of microscopic tunnels that connect your developing baby to the blood vessels in your uterine wall. The placenta won't be developed enough to take over this task until the end of next week.

How am I feeling? I am starting to have to run to the bathroom alot. I am feeling very tired. I also have nausea off and on. Eating is helping and I got my meds yesterday from the doctor.

I am pregnant! Overview of last cyle.

October 4th I found out I am pregnant! My reaction was shock. I never thought it would happen as fast as it did. I am in a group on cafemom full of women who have been trying to conceive for a year or more.I thought it would be hard for me too. Especially since we were trying to sway for a boy. That means we only had sex one time to get pregnant.

Here is how I found out. I was taking a test because I had to pee. I have been having horrible ingestion. Anyway., I took the test and left it in there. I layed on the couch. My husband went in there to get ready for work. He came out and I asked him if it was negative. He told me no it has a faint line. I wanted to see!! He showed me and I was shocked. You see I convinced myself that I was out this cycle. I did not want to get my hopes up. I did notice I was feeling nauseated a little before and after I ate. I even had a hard time finishing my chicken wrap because I felt sick. I also noticed that I could not eat anything without feeling bad.

So what is going on now? Well I am waiting for some anti nausea medication to be called in. I am three weeks and one day pregnant. I found out at 12 dpo. My last period was September 12th. My due date is June 19th.
